I first used this slide show to showcase the 2003 WWWW winners on the NGPP's website. I really like it because it is interactive, nothing moves until you tell it to, plus the effect of a curtain opening is just cool.

This is called "curtain" dynamic effect. It can be used on front or inside pages and takes any size image which is good for compact sites.
